History of Guthrie Auction Company

Mark Guthrie started his career in auctioneering at the International College of Auctioneering in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated in September of 1985.

Mark started working for Hier & Associates in April of 1986 and continued through 1997. Wayne Hier, owner, played an important role in the continued success of the auctioneering business.

Mark purchased Hier's auction inventory in April in 1999. It is now Guthrie Auction Company with the entire family contributing to the business. It is the dedication and hard work that has made the business it is today.

Guthrie Auction Company takes pride in every auction they conduct. Guthrie Auction Company has conducted many "benefit" auctions. The surrounding communities have been good to their business and they are pleased to help serve our community in any way possible!
