Illinois Auctioneers To Enter Y2K With New License Law:
The Illinois State Auctioneers Association approved and applauded the
signing of HB 1805 by Governor Ryan. The law requires a state issued
license to conduct auctions in Illinois beginning January 1,2000.
The Illinois State Auctioneers Association (I.S.A.A.) is a professional
organization of auctioneers that has promoted ethics and professionalism in
their industry for over 50 years. Anyone interested in the auction profession

informational meeting or to join the association. The I.S.A.A. annual
meeting and convention will be held in Champaign November 6,7 and 8. A
detailed meeting will be held to discuss the license law.
