COMMUNITY SALE
This
Sale is to be held Rain or Shine! The Flanagan Lions Club and the community of Flanagan welcome you to the Fifty First Annual Lions Club Community Sale. Proceeds of this sale will be used for the many Lions Club projects during the year which include: the Summer Recreation Program for the youth of the community, glasses for school children, Leader Dog School, Hadley School for the Blind, CARE program, and others. In addition to the sale, the Lions Club will hold a 50-50 raffle. Raffle tickets are available from Flanagan Lions Club members. Bring your consigned items and other sale items early on Saturday morning; buy what you need from the wide variety of items and stay late. It is our hope that you will attend our Lions Club Community Sale and that your visit to Flanagan will be pleasant and profitable. ITEMS MUST BE IN BY 8:30 A.M. Pickup service for all donated items to the Lions Club will begin on Thursday, March 18 and continue until 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 20. For pick-up service, please call 796-2264 and speak with anyone at the Flanagan State Bank. Donated items will be located down the center of Main Street. FARM

SELLERS MUST REGISTER WITH THE CLERK ON THE STREET WHERE ITEMS ARE DEPOSITED AT THE TIME THE ITEMS ARE TAGGED. Tagging will start at 6:00 a.m. Sellers must remove the seller’s part of the item tag. Leave your seller’s tags with the settlement clerks in the Flanagan State Bank building as soon as they are tagged, but no later than 10:00 a.m. This will speed up settlement. Lunch will be served in the Community Building on South Main Street by St. John’s Luther League. The American Legion Auxiliary will serve lunch in the Legion Hall. The American Legion will serve food and beverage in the Legion Hall basement. The Flanagan FFA will serve pork chops on the west side of Main Street. Girl Scout cookies will be sold in front of Flanagan Pharmacy. The Lions Club would appreciate the complete support of the community for this sale. We need your support on March 20! Since the club does not solicit the community for funds for its various projects, this is the only means at its disposal for raising funds. We do not assume any responsibility for accidents or missing items before or after purchase. Pick up your item at the time of purchase, pay for it soon afterwards, and secure it immediately. All animals offered for sale must be safely and humanely housed. The seller will be responsible for the animal’s well being until it is auctioned, at which time it becomes the buyer’s responsibility. RULES FOR AUTOS, TRUCKS, AND TRAILERS: Seller must have his or her name registered on the title; no open titles will be accepted. Title must be turned in to sale officials in the Flanagan State Bank before sale begins. Buyer will receive title after check for payment clears. TERMS: Sales commission of 15% per item up to $100; 10% per item up to $500; 5% per item over $500; minimum of $3.00. Items that do not bring $3.00 are considered donated, so group your items to bring at least that amount. ALL VEHICLE TITLES MUST BE DEPOSITED IN THE LEGION HALL BEFORE THE START OF THE SALE. MINIMUM BUYBACK ON ALL TITLED VEHICLES, INCLUDING BOATS AND TRAILERS, IS $10.00. A $5.00 unloading fee will be charged for all heavy items such as freezers and refrigerators. NO TIRES, LIQUIDS, WINDOW GLASS, OR INOPERABLE APPLIANCES. ALL MERCHANDISE IS SOLD “AS IS”. THE FLANAGAN LIONS CLUB IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSING ITEMS OR FOR THE CONDITION OF SALE MERCHANDISE.
